I attended one of Oliver’s Seminars in fall of 2009. One of the things he had us do during the session was come up with a goal for the first quarter of 2010, write it on a piece of paper and give it to him. He promised to follow up by sending us the same piece of paper back to us in the mail by March 31. I felt under pressure to turn something in so without giving it too much thought, I put in my projected 2009 annual sales figure as my target for the first quarter.
Some time before the end of Q1, Oliver sent me my piece of paper-which I had almost forgotten about completely. What I realized when I opened that mail was that it coincided with me receiving confirmation -in the same stack of letters-of new business that brought me to the numbers I had on that piece of paper written a couple of months back! I made my 2009 figures in the first quarter of 2010.
Do his methods work?……absolutely!
