Oliver Baezner

Oliver is the founder and owner of Sonic Breakthrough Coaching®. Oliver spent over 25 years in leadership and management roles, sharpening his business skills with some of Canada’s largest corporations including Energizer Canada, Calgary Co-op, Shoppers Drug Mart and Canadian Tire.  He’s also the former Vice-President of Calgary’s own Big Rock Brewery.

Oliver has worked with a variety of well-known clients, including an NHL Hockey Team and The Federal Government.  He is also a chair for MacKay CEO Forums, where he accelerates CEO performance through peer learning for some of Calgary’s largest corporations. He also holds several certifications including; Brian Tracy International, Motivating by Appreciation at work, and DISC®.

In addition to his extensive coaching and leadership development work, Oliver, along with Alex Putici, is the co-founder of “100 Men Who Give A Damn”, a Calgary organization of community-minded men who raise money for local charities.

He has helped companies deliver outstanding results throughout his career.  Oliver is a published author who has written a chapter titled “Leading With Excellence”, in the book, With Excellence: Powerful Strategies on how to get more out of Life, Finance and Business, published by Ridley Jones (2011).

As an inspiring motivational speaker, trainer and workshop facilitator, Oliver has had speaking engagements with a number of audiences, including; MacKay CEO Forums, Investors Group Financial, BNI International, The Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) and the Real Estate Investment Network (REIN).

While he can often be seen wearing a suit and tie, people close to him know that he’s really somewhat of a free spirit who feels most at home in nature, and have frequently referred to him as a “Hippie in a Business Suit.”

Tia Kerr

Tia is Sonic’s “meticulous” and personable assistant. Her high attention to detail and trustworthy demeanor helps herensure everything runs smoothly, from coordinating meetings, workshops, seminars, networking events and corporate events. She is the “co-pilot” that understands the importance of exceeding every client’s needs.

Originally from British Columbia, Tia has called Calgary home since 2005. She has over 12 years management experience, as a recruitment specialist, training and development expert, and performing business turnaround. Tia spent the past 6 years in Office and Property management. Tia’s strong leadership modelling honesty and integrity have seen her the recipient of several industry awards throughout her career.

When she is not in the office Tia enjoys spending time with her husband, their 2 children and 2 dogs. She is an avid reader who hosts a book club and loves playing board games with family and friends. Tia also volunteers by holding the Secretary position on the fundraising board at her children’s school.
